🩺 Medical Clearance
Required for Participation
Trauma Recovery Through Movement, Medical Integrity, and Mission-Ready Fitness
Challenger Point Practice PLLC | Ad Astra Per Aspera
✅ What Is the CLIMB Medical Clearance?
CLIMB Protocol is a trauma-reset and resilience-building experience that involves physical movement, environmental exposure, and body-based reset practices. Before we dive into ice, ocean, or elevation with you, you’ll need a signed medical clearance from a licensed MD or DO.
This clearance ensures you're safe to participate in:
-
Mountain hiking and altitude work
-
Ocean immersion, breathwork, and snorkeling
-
Functional movement and team-based reset drills
-
Cold exposure, heat exposure, and somatic stress drills
-
Optional SCUBA training (with dive-specific clearance)
This is not a generic waiver. It’s your physician confirming you’re physically stable, cleared, and ready for a reset.
🧭 What CLIMB Participants Should Expect
CLIMB is clinician-supervised, peer-driven, and radically grounded in reality. You'll be climbing peaks, swimming reefs, breathing through fire and frost—all with the support of a trained peer specialist and licensed team behind you.
This medical clearance form:
-
Screens for contraindications (e.g. heart, pulmonary, ENT, behavioral health)
-
Ensures you can safely perform resets of all types
-
Opens the door to SCUBA certification for those eligible (certified separately)
🔐 We Help You Get the Form Completed
You’ll be paired with a Peer Specialist who helps:
-
Schedule your PCP visit
-
Submit this form to your doctor
-
Coordinate short-term disability or FMLA paperwork
-
Help secure any modifications or accommodations
-
Ensure your paperwork is submitted securely and on time
If you don’t have a doctor, we’ll help you find one—even in rural areas.
🌊 SCUBA Track for Ocean Reset (Optional)
Some participants will choose to go deeper—literally.
CLIMB Protocol includes the option to pursue SCUBA certification as part of the reset. Those participants will complete pool and open-water dives with certified instructors. SCUBA activities require:
-
Additional medical screening by your MD/DO
-
Secondary waivers with certified dive agencies
-
Instructor-led skills practice in pool and ocean
Note: We’ve included a SCUBA section in the medical clearance form so your provider can approve (or flag) early.
