When the waters rise, we find out who shows up.
After the devastating Texas floods, country icon Miranda Lambert did what real Texans do—she rolled up her sleeves and put the call out to help reunite people with their lost pets. Through her nonprofit MuttNation Foundation, she’s using her platform to reconnect flood survivors with their dogs, cats, horses, and more—because when everything else falls apart, our animals are often the only steady ground we’ve got.
At Challenger Point Practice, we see this every day. Whether it’s a combat veteran with a PTSD-trained service dog, a trauma survivor who can finally sleep thanks to their emotional support animal (ESA), or a first responder decompressing with a rescue mutt curled up on their chest—these bonds are medicine.
Miranda’s effort reminds us that animals don’t just help us survive disasters—they help us come home to ourselves afterward.
If You Were Displaced in the Floods and Need ESA Support
We’re offering fast-tracked ESA evaluations and certifications for those impacted by the Texas floods—especially veterans, first responders, and trauma-exposed professionals. An ESA approval can support your housing needs, prevent animal separation, and legally protect your right to stay in your home with your ESA.
We don’t just write a letter and send you on your way. We offer the full protocol:
✅ Clinical screening & mental health support
✅ Letters compliant with FHA & state laws
✅ Peer-led recovery options (virtual + in-person)
✅ Referrals for service dog training if needed
✅ Trauma-informed care for both humans and animals
Animals Save Lives. Sometimes We Just Return the Favor.
If you’re trying to keep your animal with you, reunite with one you’ve lost, or get clinical support for the trauma you’ve endured—we’re here. We stand with Miranda. We stand with Texas. And we stand with anyone trying to hold on to what matters most when everything else has washed away.
